Graham has extensive experience in all types of coal, oil & gas, biomass and waste fired Boilers, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Steam Power Plants, Co-generation & Combined Cycle Power Plants, Energy from Waste (EfW) Power Plants and Renewable, Solar, Wind and Battery Storage. He has worked on projects varying from small design studies and the design and supply of boilers to full EPC turnkey multi discipline power plants in Australia, SE Asia, USA, Canada and Europe.
He is passionate about the environment, energy efficiency and the education and mentoring of engineers and is well known in the energy industry being a foundation member, a past Chairman and the current Treasurer of the Sydney branch of the Australian Institute of Energy.

David has extensive experience in concept and detail engineering and commissioning functions of power plant fuel supply, combustion systems, steam generating plants and other services. He has extensive fundamental training in boiler design and engineering from leading boiler plant suppliers for utility and industrial plants.
Experience has been obtained in Engineering and Site Management positions in EPC contracting and major plant supply environment for Australian and South-East Asian clients. Such projects typically involved the design, supply, erection, and commissioning of turnkey multi-disciplinary power plants. Included are a variety of coal, biomass, and combined cycle power plants and all balance of plant and auxiliary services.
He is an active member of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and actively involved in engineering management and implementation of power and industrial projects.

David began his career in the UK nuclear industry before relocating to Australia in the 1980s to join Babcock Australia. He subsequently held a range of engineering roles across several boiler and power‑plant EPC organisations, developing strong capability in boiler and power‑plant process and mechanical design before joining B&PPS.
Over his career, David has worked in senior design and project engineering positions on combined‑cycle plants, biomass facilities and gas‑turbine exhaust heat‑recovery steam generator (HRSG) systems. His experience spans concept development, detailed design, controls development, commissioning support and performance testing, giving him a comprehensive, full‑lifecycle understanding of power‑plant design and operation.
